Teaching
Anders has taught improvisation, team-building, acting and sketch comedy for over a decade and a half. He has been part of the core faculty at the Bad Dog Academy as part of the Bad Dog Theatre Company since 2011, and more recently joined the teaching staff at Second City Toronto. Anders has taught character development workshops for the actors in the Canadian Film Centre's Actor's Conservatory using improvisational techniques, and has coached improvisers as far afield as Warsaw, Poland.
"Anders is one of the finest performers, improv or otherwise, in this city. You'd be foolish not to glean some of what this guy's got." - Kjartan Hewitt, actor, writer and director
"I couldn't recommend Anders' skills as an instructor higher. He creates a culture of acceptance and creativity in the classroom which allows students to access their best selves in his workshops. I insist you work with him. You won't regret it." - Hayley Kellett, Improv Incubator Director, The Making Box
"Anders genuinely wants his students to discover the same playful joy he brings to performances, and gives constructive, practical tips along the way." - Griffin Toplitsky, comedian and host of the Killed To Death podcast
"It wasn't so much what he did, but how he did it: with absolute humility, abundant creativity and generous positive feedback." - Jennifer Sweer, teacher
"CareGuide had the pleasure of hiring Anders to facilitate our 2017 company-wide retreat. His sessions not only had an immediate impact on our team, but had clear benefits that could be felt during the months after." - Mike Gill, Marketing and Analytics Lead, Careguide
